Let’s dive into what’s new:

Overview

  • QuickChats Metadata – Sessions now automatically capture name and email for better context.
  • MCP for Microsoft Azure DevOps – Work item search, open ticket lookups, wiki search, and tenant error integration.
  • MCP for SolarWinds Ticketing – User and ticket search support directly from Chime.

QuickChats Metadata

QuickChats now automatically set email and name metadata at the start of a session, ensuring that agents have key details upfront without extra steps.

Why It’s Useful: Agents get immediate context, making it easier to personalize responses and resolve chats faster.

MCP for Microsoft Azure DevOps

Expanded MCP support now connects directly with Azure DevOps, bringing ticketing and wiki capabilities into Chime:

  • Work Items – Search by keyword, view recently updated tickets, and pull full details when needed.
  • User-Specific Views – Get a list of open tickets assigned to a particular user.
  • Wiki Search – Query Azure DevOps wikis for documentation.
  • Tenant Error Integration – Automatically generate Azure DevOps tickets from tenant error records, with validation and tagging built in.

Why It’s Useful: Keeps support and engineering on the same page by automatically surfacing tickets and knowledge base content without leaving Chime.

MCP for SolarWinds Ticketing

New SolarWinds MCP wrapper adds direct integration for user and ticket lookups:

  • User Search – Find users by email.
  • Ticket Search – Look up tickets by ID or email.

Why It’s Useful: Provides fast visibility into SolarWinds tickets from within Chime, reducing back-and-forth between systems.
