We’re excited to introduce the latest updates in Build 3192, which focus on enhanced Teams presence management, deeper app usage insights, improved integration with SolarWinds ITSM, and better UI configuration options.

Option Selector – Default Values and Dropdown Configuration
We’ve added support for setting a default value in the option selector and introduced new flexibility for how options are displayed.
What’s New:

Ability to set a default option automatically

Configure options to display as either:

List (radio buttons)

Dropdown menus

Why It’s Useful:
This gives administrators more control over how choice-based components render and ensures users always have a pre-selected, meaningful default.
Microsoft Teams – Presence Integration
We’ve delivered the first version of Teams presence integration, allowing agent presence in Chime to mirror their Microsoft Teams status.
Key Highlights:

Background task presence poller runs every 60 seconds (configurable via Background Tasks module)
-
Agent presence now updates automatically based on Teams presence
-
UI toggle to enable/disable Teams presence integration per user (manager and admin permissions respected)
-
When Teams presence is enabled, manual presence changes in Chime are overridden to match Teams

Disabled legacy behavior that marked agents as unavailable when SignalR browser connections were lost
Setup Requirements:

Requires a Graph API app registration with the following permissions:

Presence.Read.All

User.ReadBasic.All

Why It’s Useful:
This ensures presence is accurate and consistent across platforms, reducing manual updates and improving workflow reliability.
Microsoft Teams – App Installation Tracking and Adoption Dashboard
We’ve added Teams app installation tracking to better understand adoption and usage patterns.
New Features:

Lightweight database records capture user and installation information for every Teams app install

Tracks the last time a user engaged in a Teams chat with the bot
-
Tenant-level dashboard: View adoption stats in Admin → Chime Advanced → Teams Install Dashboard

Global dashboard available for administrators to see adoption across all tenants
-
Ability to retroactively reconstruct historical data from existing chat session logs
Why It’s Useful:
Provides valuable insights into how widely the Teams app is deployed and used, enabling better reporting and adoption strategies.
SolarWinds ITSM – Solutions (FAQ) API
We’ve introduced new API endpoints to pull SolarWinds Knowledge Base/FAQ data directly into Chime.
Available Methods:

GetAllSolutions()
: Returns all available SolarWinds solutions -
GetSolutionById(id)
: Retrieves a specific solution by its unique identifier
Why It’s Useful:
This enables tighter integration with SolarWinds ITSM, allowing solution data to be accessed programmatically and leveraged in Chime’s chat and workflow experiences.
