Chime V5 now integrates more deeply with Microsoft Teams through new embedded tabs, giving users a seamless in-app experience. The Snapshot Tab shows real-time notifications, chat summaries, and outage information directly within Teams. The Explore Tab delivers role-based dashboards tailored for Agents, Managers, and Admins. External participants can securely view chat transcripts via the new Guest Transcript View, and a new Share with Decision Makers button allows quick meeting or invite sharing inside Teams.
Full MSAL authentication ensures secure sign-ins for both Teams and browser use, while tenant-level branding allows organizations to customize their in-app presentation.
Why it’s useful: Brings Chime functionality directly into Teams for faster access, role-based insights, and improved collaboration without switching contexts.
The Chime V5 Marketplace module now offers a more complete subscription management experience. Customers can view subscription status, activate services, and access their Azure Portal directly from the landing page. The module now includes Event Listing and Details pages to track activations and renewals, expanded views showing Email, Subscription ID, Quantity, and Status, and updated styling consistent with Microsoft Marketplace guidelines.
Why it’s useful: Provides transparent subscription management and an integrated experience for teams managing Chime licenses across Microsoft’s ecosystem.
Ticket cloning has been streamlined to simplify creation and maintain workflow integrity. Each cloned ticket now generates a unique Ticket ID automatically, and publishing cloned or draft tickets triggers workflow events without duplication or errors.
Why it’s useful: Simplifies repetitive ticket creation, ensures reliable workflow automation, and keeps ticket tracking accurate across teams.
This build includes broad system improvements that enhance stability, reliability, and performance across Chime V5. Updates include improved Teams tab configuration handling for sub-tenant environments, optimized outage retrieval, and strengthened metadata and concurrency management for better scalability under load.
Why it’s useful: Improves overall platform consistency, ensures reliable operation across Teams deployments, and enhances system performance during peak usage.
